Teens - do you need volunteer hours for graduation? Are you looking to go above and beyond for your community? Do you just really enjoy the library and want to volunteer your time to help us out?
Join our Teen Volunteer Program at KPL! As a KPL Volun-teen, you can help us run programs for kids, prepare our weekly crafts, and more. We also host a monthly volunteer hour where you can meet some of your fellow volunteers and work on a project together! Together, we have made cards for veterans, placemats for Meals on Wheels, and even blankets for the Shalom Center.
We are looking for motivated teens aged 14-17 who value the library and know that small acts can lead to big impacts. Sound like you? We will be hosting open interviews at the Southwest Neighborhood Library on Wednesday, May 20th from 5-6pm.
Teen volunteers must be between the ages of 14 and 17. Prospective volunteers must come to a brief interview on May 20th with a parent or guardian to sign waivers. Interviews will be immediately followed by a brief orientation. Interviews and orientation should take approximately 10 minutes total.
Have questions? Teen Services Librarian Elliott is here to help! Email Elliott at ewalcroft@mykpl.info for more information.
