The historic Simmons Neighborhood Library was constructed in 1900 and designed by Daniel Burnham in the neoclassical style. It boasts a mix of modern technology with classic architecture and possibly a spirit or two.

Parking is available to the south of the building; you must enter on 8th Ave, with 13 spaces and 1 accessibility space. 2-hour limited street parking is also available on 8th Ave, 61st St, 7th Ave, and 59th Pl.

There is 1 accessible parking space in the parking lot. An accessibility-focused computer is available with a 24-inch monitor, high contrast keyboard, and single button mouse. 2 large print and 2 high contrast keyboards are available; a trackball mouse is also available. Windows 7 magnifier and screen reader is on all computers.
This building is not ADA accessible, but information on the WWI Memorial and Historical tour is available.
