Here at the Southwest Library Teen Space, we are eagerly anticipating summertime! With summer comes warm days and sunshine, no school (soon enough!), and tons of fun in the Teen Space. Curious to hear more? Check out some of our summer program options for teens at Southwest this summer!
With summertime also comes summer hours in the Teen Space at Southwest:
June 15 - July 24
Mon-Fri 12 - 5 PM
July 27 - August 31
Mon-Fri 2 - 5 PM
Stop by anytime during our open hours to hangout with your friends, work on some arts and crafts (yes, including Perler beads and bracelets), board games, and even video games! And of course if you're working on your Summer Reading Log, you can do your reading in the Teen Space, get book recommendations, and contribute to a communal reading goal for prizes!
But the Teen Space is more than just a hangout space for teens this summer. We're planning all sorts of fun activities!
June 16th, 3-4pm - Edible Cookie Art
July 13th, 3-4pm - K-Pop Party!
August 4th, 3-4pm - Teens & Crafts
August 14th, 2:30-4:30pm - Friday Flicks: Jurassic World
In addition, you can expect regular pop-up events in the teen space doing all sorts of things like fun arts and crafts, slime, and even learning to sew.
