Meet with representatives from Help Me Grow Kenosha for this fun family event where children can receive a free early childhood developmental screening and take home a gift bag for first-time screeners, while supplies last. Parents and caregivers can come play with their children and learn how games and activities stimulate a child’s development. Screenings are designed for families with children, ages 0-4.
Join Emilie Gashke from Harmony Music School for 45 minutes of music that will spark joyful learning in your child! Music is one of the most exciting ways for young children to support early language development and Kindermusik provides endless opportunities for babies and caregivers to communicate with each other, including verbally, and nonverbally, actively listening, developing language, and integrating movement.
Paint with us! Art-making is foundational for developing those pre-writing skills through sensory play! It helps to grow fine motor skills, and fosters problem-solving and emotional expression - not to mention creativity. Join Kacy Puntillo, a pediatric occupational therapist from Kid Power to discover why creative play is so invaluable for communication and art educator, Linda Potter, to learn how to get the most (fun!) out of art-making with your child.
The best (and most fun!) way to develop language is through PLAY! Join speech-language pathologist, Amanda Townsend, for an exciting, jam-packed session where you’ll discover different types of developmentally appropriate play to support your child’s communication at every stage.

Make mealtime fun and rewarding! Join speech pathologist Trevor Harris from Aurora Health Care and discover ways to present food to children, behavioral techniques you can use for success, what milestones you can look for, and when you might need help.
