Beyond the joy of reading, the library is set to become a destination for various programs and activities designed to nurture a well-rounded and inquisitive mindset.

Beyond Books: A Dynamic Hub for Exploration

The KPL Kids @ Uptown Lofts Library is poised to be a dynamic and interactive space that extends beyond the traditional concept of a library. While the shelves will be adorned with a diverse collection of books, the library will also feature workshops, gathering spaces, arts and crafts, interactive storytelling sessions, and hands-on activities encompassing literacy, science, arts, and technology.

Library director, Barbara Brattin, shared insights into the library's offerings. "We want to create an environment where children feel excited about learning. The library will not just be a place for quiet reading; it will be a space for exploration, creativity, and discovery."

Community Connectivity: A Space for All Children

The journey begins at KPL Kids @ Uptown Lofts, where children from birth through fifth grade are nurtured and prepared for academic success. This is followed by the Kenosha Emerging Leaders Academy (KELA), which equips students with the skills and exposure they need to achieve their career goals through its "steps to success" programming. Finally, the upcoming Kenosha Innovation Neighborhood (KIN) will provide a platform for young adults to turn their ambitions into reality. Through this collaborative effort, KPL is proud to play a pivotal role in supporting Kenosha's future leaders.
