Teacher cards were created to give Kenosha County educators maximum access to library resources and the greatest possible flexibility in utilizing those resources for lesson planning.
Not only are Teacher Cards a great way for teachers to boost the resources available in their classrooms, they have an unlimited number of checkouts and an extended checkout window of six weeks instead of the standard three. Plus, items can be renewed for an additional six weeks so long as no patron holds exist the item. Up to 200 holds can be placed on a teacher card but are restricted to Kenosha Public Library items only.

Who is eligible for a teacher card?
Teachers who teach preschool or grades k-12 in the city or county of Kenosha.
I'm eligible, how do I get one?
Signing up is a similar process to a regular library card, however in addition to a photo ID, a letter from the school administration on school letterhead must be provided when signing up at one of our branches.
I have a personal card already, can I still get a Teacher card?
Yes! If you’re a Kenosha, Racine, Rock, or Walworth County resident, you can have both a Teacher Card and a Personal Card - so no need to worry about confusing your own checkouts with those you’re using in the classroom.
