2025 KPL Top 20: Teen Materials

What KPL teen items got the most love in 2025?  We did the math, and now we're sharing each location's top 20 with you!

"Wait, Miss Amy Rae.  Are you sure these are the top 20 most popular items at each library?"

By one very specific way of calculating "most popular," yes!

"Then how did you calculate it?"

I made lists of the individual items that were checked out most often by people who were actually at that location when they checked the items out.  This list doesn't count what somebody in Burlington or Janesville thought of our books - only patrons at your local branch!

Now, without further ado - the most popular teen books at each KPL location!


Discovery Bus Teens Top 20: 2025

Taylor Swift was kiiiiiind of a big deal for Discovery Bus teens. So were cookbooks, Kimetsu no Yaiba (Demon Slayer), and Black Butler. Dive into pop culture as you dig through their top 20!

Northside Teens Top 20: 2025

Northside teens gobbled up plotty novels by the bucket this year, with a lot of interest in the Hunger Games books, Holly Jackson's mysteries, and the Powerless series. The big manga favorites were The Legend of Zelda and Blue Lock!

Simmons Teens Top 20: 2025

Graphic novels and manga dominated Simmons reading lists, including some manga twists on classic authors. Edge-of-your-seat thrillers, mysteries, and romance filled out the rest of teens' picks!

Southwest Teens Top 20: 2025

Adventurous Southwest readers started over a dozen new series this year! Teens taste-tested familiar stories like The Hunger Games and new hits like Delicious in Dungeon. And they read a TON of Toilet-Bound Hanako-Kun.
