For Every Child
CAMPAIGN
Please join Extraordinary Women throughout Kenosha in the “For Every Child” capital campaign to build a children’s library on the first floor of the new affordable housing project - Uptown Lofts. This project is on the site of one of our community’s worst tragedies – a unique opportunity for learning and healing. Only 36% of our community’s third graders read at a third-grade level, so this library will benefit all of Kenosha’s children.
GIVING EVERY WOMAN THE POWER TO DO SOMETHING EXTRAORDINARY
How it Works
- Participants in the 100EW campaign give $1,000 with an option to pledge over 5 years. This is $200 per year or approximately $18 per month. Participants can give in their own name or they can give in honor or memory of another woman.
- Everyone is welcome to give! You don't have to be a woman to participate. Anyone can give in the honor or memory of a woman who is important to them.
- Extraordinary Women can donate or pledge individually; groups can also give to one listing, e.g. family members, bowling leagues, and book clubs. Groups that pledge $1,000 will have a listing in the group’s name (e.g. The Smith Sisters) or in one woman's name (e.g. In Honor of Daisy Smith).
- To celebrate this very special way for women to come together, we will be inviting all of our donors to special opening events. Each $1,000 pledge provides one seat. Groups may choose a representative to attend the event. Details will be available soon.

- Click the large purple "Donate" button in the middle of the page
- Select your preferred donation amount (These donations can be made as a single one-time donation or can be broken up into various intervals like monthly, or semi-annually)
- If you would like to commit to the full $1000 donation but prefer to have this broken up into the $18/a-month option, click the empty box above "choose your own amount" and type in "18". Then select the drop-down menu under "select donation frequency" and choose "monthly"
- Next, click the drop-down menu under "Apply My Donation To" and select "Uptown Children's Library"
- If you choose to donate to honor or memorialize a special woman in your life, click the drop-down menu under "Honor or Remember Someone With Your Gift" and make the appropriate selection. Then, type the name of the woman and your relationship with them.
- Next, click "Donate Once"
- Complete the information and payment instructions and you are all done.
